This is a rant and possible obituary for my art journey, I do hope I can look back at this post years from now and laugh at it. I really do. The rise of AI art generator is deeply alarming. As mentioned by the Youtuber artist Steven Zapata on his video "The End of Art", I quote "it is not a tool but a replacement for artists. A wrench and screwdriver is a tool to an automobile assembly worker, a robot is their replacement." As of now, AI generated content is 'just alright', but I can see that at the current trajectory, they will be far better than those of us who honed our skills and practiced painfully for years to get to where we are. Of course, as the way the AIs are sold, 'billions will be able to bring their vision to reality' I paraphrased, maybe it's a good thing? Even though that will just mean art will lose it's value and meaning. I mean why is your art special when everybody can make that same literal piece now, literally everybody get to express on the same quality as you
