Sovereign Union Empyrean Marines

A sub-branch of the Sovereign Union Empyrean Guards (Air force), the Empyrean Marines functions just like naval marines where instead of being stationed on board of sea vessels, they are stationed on air ships of Class-C and above to serve along side the sailors. Every marines were given training to ensure that they are invulnerable to motion sickness and fear of heights, and are able to fight efficiently despite of being on board of a moving sky vessel. Furthermore, they were also trained to board enemy sky vessels by waiting for boarding harpoons to be launched from their host vessel to the target vessel and once attached to their target, it would be reeled in closer to a safe distance for the marines to board, sometimes the marines would bring grappling hooks with them as insurance.

They are also often deployed to the ground to support the ground forces or independently perform ground based operations though they would be lacking heavier ground equipment as compared to the ground forces, having to rely largely on the gun battery from their airships to support them.

Due to the lower temperature of troposphere and stratosphere, they are given thicker great coat than the ground forces in order for them to combat without being affected by the weather.
